Abraham Lincoln was born on 12th February, 1809 in Hardin Country, Kentucky to Thomas and Nancy Hanks Lincoln. He had an elder sister named Sarah and a younger brother named Thomas who died during in infancy. In 1816, they had to move to Indiana, Perry Country because his father lost everything in the property dispute. But after shifting to Indiana, they had to go through poverty and a bad time. When Abraham was nine years old his mother died from tremetol in 1818. He became depressed after that incident and his sister looked after him. In 1819, his father again got married, to Sarah Bush Johnston, a widow in Kentucky with her three children. But she was strong and adorable women with whom Abraham too made a good bond quickly. Again in 1830, they had moved to another country, Illinois, Macon Country. Lincoln was 22 years old and he worked very hard for his living. He did various jobs of storekeeper, land surveyor and postman. He started several businesses but failed in all but he never gave up.

Abraham Lincoln was always enthusiastic about studies though he never got a whole of formal education due to the shifting of places. But he loved to read books and he gained knowledge from books he borrowed. He educated himself by self studying law. Then he was taken to Petersen House where for nine hours he was in coma and then died early morning on 15th April leaving his mourning citizens. Then he was buried in his hometown Springfield, Illinois.
